Building Fragments — Preview
Ahead of early access launch - here's a preview of the platform!
A preview of what's in Fragments
Another short one this week as I'm super busy before heading off for a well-earned holiday. I've been working hard on content, and as more things have come together, I wanted to give a more detailed preview of the sort of content you'll find in Fragments, so I've opened up the first technique
, a utility
and two sketch breakdowns
to everyone.
Technique: Geometric Shapes
The technique I've unlocked is the first full coding
technique in Fragments: Geometric Shapes. I think this is a great primer on a fundamental technique I use in a lot of my own creative coding sketches.
I wanted to unlock this one in particular, because I think it gives a really good foundation to layer onto other, more advanced techniques further into the collection.
Utility: Sketch Component
The Sketch Component is a great representation of the sorts of things you'll find in the utilities section. It's a React Three Fiber component that I use all the time to display my sketches. While pretty simple, it's a great way to get started if you're working in that ecosystem.
Sketch Breakdowns: Flare 1 and Dawn 1
The two sketch breakdowns I've unlocked are Flare 1 and Dawn 1. These are both beautiful sketches that I've created over the last year.
Dawn 1 you'll all be familiar with because I shared that in a previous newsletter. Flare 1 has similar vibes, but a little bit more complex with some layered radial gradient effects.
Launch updates
Everything's on track for launch! I've been working on content, getting feedback, and making a bunch of updates and changes to things to make it the best it possibly can be.
I'd love it if you could check out what's in the preview and let me know what you think. I really want you all to enjoy Fragments and succeed with it, so any feedback is absolutely welcome. You can reply to this if you're reading this in your inbox, or contact me on X.
